Are regulatory pressure and technological whim over-riding client needs?

Are regulatory pressure and technological whim over-riding client needs?

This year’s SIX Securities Services Post-Trade Forum engages with industry leaders to explore the challenges we face as an industry.

Since the financial crisis, regulatory pressures have increased the cost of capital, prompted financial institutions to divest themselves of “risky” or capital intensive businesses or departments and, simultaneously, invest in and recruit heavily to meet their compliance needs. The result is a drain on returns and senior management time.

On the other side of this Pressure-Equation, is the explosion in flexible and seemingly cure-all technology solutions which are changing the way customers interact with financial institutions. Investment in IT infrastructure has increased massively over the past few years. The result is a new and challenging environment.

At this year’s SIX Securities Services Post-Trade Forum, we take all of these dynamics into account and ask the question: “Are regulatory pressure and technological whim over-riding client needs?”. On Thursday, 16 March 2017, from 10:00 to 15:00, at the Andaz Hotel in London, we engage with industry leaders from Coutts, Morgan Stanley, Digital Asset, SETL, credits.vision, F10 and many more to explore the challenges we face as an industry.
